AICMAR
The African Institute for Contemporary Mission and Research (AICMAR) is an inter-denominational institution located within Butere Diocesan compound. It was established in 2000 with a commitment to promote biblical expository preaching, faithful Christian leadership and African evangelical and theological scholarship. AICMAR incorporates what was Festo Olang Resource Center.
AICMAR Chadwick Library is named after Walter Chadwick, a CMS missionary who founded the Butere Mission Centre in 1912. Chadwick was a son of Bishop Alexander Chadwick of the Diocese of Derry.
BUILD

BUILD is an in-service training initiative for grassroots pastors and key local church leaders in the global South. It is aimed at those who teach, care for and lead local congregations – not least in serving their local communities. BUILD is designed to help them to do this work more effectively.
The Diocese of Butere is the Kenyan centre for BUILD. Currently there are three BUILD diploma courses running at AICMAR, Chadwick Library including a regional class composed of students from 6 Kenyan dioceses as well as Dodoma and Tanga in Tanzania.
UCU
Uganda Christian University, located in Mukono, near the capital city of Kampala, is one of Uganda's leading teaching and research universities. Since its opening in 1997, Uganda Christian University has been dedicated to finding solutions to big challenges and to preparing students for leadership in a complex world with a Christian background.
Butere diocese is currently partnering with UCU in training Ordinands, joint mission activities and evangelism.
Great Lakes University Kisumu (Bishop Okullu College)
Bishop Okullu College is an Anglican Institution of Higher learning authorized by the Commission for Higher education to offer degrees in theology in collaboration with the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK).
Currently GLUK accredits the BUILD diploma being offered at AICMAR Chadwick Library in Butere.
Uganda Martyrs Seminary Namugongo (UMSN)
Uganda Martyrs Seminary is a training college for the Church of Uganda clergy. Since 1976, the college has been engaged in furthering the proclamation of the gospel by training men and women for ministry in the Anglican Church. A high proportion of Anglican clergy in Uganda have passed through the seminary, which is held in high regard by both local and denominational church leaders.
Currently, UMSN is partnering with the Diocese of Butere in the Annual School of Preaching conferences as well as the training of ordinands.
St Paul’s University (SPU) Limuru
St. Paul’s is a Christian Chartered University. The University has its main campus in Limuru and other campuses in Nairobi, Nakuru and Machakos.
Butere Diocese partners with SPU in the Annual School of Theology Conferences and training of ordinands.
